Peanut Butter Bars

Mom made these a few weekends ago and I couldn't stop eating them. Easy, chewy, peanut buttery without being too peanut buttery...yum!  She found the recipe on venividiscrappy.blogspot.com

24 Servings

Ingredients:

2/3 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
2 cups packed brown sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 package (11 1/2 ounces) milk chocolate chips

Directions:

In a large bowl, cream the butter, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
Spread into greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Cut in bars.
